Contra

Speak With Us

Contra is an airy, music-inspired living room day system designed to convey a sense of weightlessness, freedom, and fluid rhythm. Centred around the interplay of delicate open structures and clean horizontal lines, it avoids dense, heavy cabinetry to keep the living space feeling expansive. The style is ultra-modern, light-filled, and graceful, treating wall storage as an expressive, sculptural installation where items are selectively curated and displayed rather than hidden away.

Range Overview

The layout is built against a beautiful backdrop of the Tempo slatted boiserie wall paneling network, finished in a soft, tactile Visone bilaminate. Mechanically integrated directly onto this textured slatted wall is an understated, geometric arrangement of open shelving profiles finished in a sharp, contrasting matte black lacquer. Rather than utilising traditional floor-bound furniture masses, the composition focuses heavily on floating elements that preserve floor space and enhance the room’s natural light. The internal layout and shelving spans can be customised in scale, creating a versatile and highly organised focal wall designed to support media components, fine art pieces, and books with minimalist, modern precision.

CORDA installed 13 kitchens for our development at Chalk Yard. The installation was completed on time and to a very high standard. Communication was clear throughout, and the team was organised and professional from start to finish. We would be happy to work with them again.

I can’t recommend CORDA highly enough. After moving into a new home with a beautiful kitchen they had already fitted, I decided to extend it for additional storage. Richard, the director, was incredibly helpful from the outset, meeting me during the purchase to measure up and provide guidance on cost and availability. For a premium company, their pricing was competitive, and the designs were spot on.The units arrived promptly, and installation was scheduled quickly. Jack, who carried out the fitting, was outstanding, professional, considerate, and clearly a perfectionist. The quality of his work was exceptional, and the finished result genuinely exceeded my expectations. A real credit to Richard, Jason, and the entire team. I’m absolutely delighted with the outcome and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. I rarely write reviews, which says everything about how impressed I was. Thanks guys!

It was a real pleasure to work with the team at CORDA. They carefully designed each of our 13 units and no question was too much. We ended up with very well designed kitchens. The aftercare was exceptional as well. All in all, I would highly recommend CORDA.
